Disneyland anytime of year is fun, but March can be challenging if you don’t go in prepared. Spring break crowds bring a lot of people to the parks and surrounding hotels, so you’re going to want to book your park reservations and hotel rooms as early as possible. Inside the parks, the Disney California Food and Wine Festival begins on March 3, and Disneyland After Dark: Princess Nite takes place twice.

Whether you’re hitting up events or just enjoying the warmer spring afternoons, this is what you need to wear to Disneyland in March.

Weather in Disneyland in March

Those who enjoy warmer, and longer days will find March in Anaheim to be pleasant. According to accuweather.com, there are just a handful of days that rain is expected otherwise, there is plenty of sunshine. The beginning of the month brings cooler temperatures with lows in the mid-40s and highs in the mid to upper 60s. As the month goes on, expect warmer mornings with temperatures starting in the mid-50s and rising to the mid-70s.

What to wear to Disney

Whether you’re a Disneyland local looking for some new outfit inspiration, or you’re prepping your family to travel across the country to see Walt Disney’s original theme park, be sure to pack enough layers. The chilly mornings give way to warm afternoons when you’re going to want to strip off a sweatshirt or jacket and put it into a backpack until nightfall. Still, need more tips? This is what we’re wearing to Disneyland this month.

Base layer

Men's Mickey Friends Mickey Mouse Best Day Ever T-Shirt X-Large Athletic Heather

Any day spent at Disneyland is better than a day at work, at least that’s what we think. This cool graphic T-shirt has “Best Day Ever!” written in black ink with a black Mickey Mouse silhouette included. While it is a men's sized T-shirt, women who want to go with a more comfortable baggy look will enjoy this as well, with sizes that range from small to 3X.

Top Layer

Disney Mickey And Friends Mickey Mouse Neon Line Portrait Sweatshirt

Chilly mornings and nights call for a cool sweatshirt. This option has Mickey Mouse on the front in a neon line style. The jacket comes in black, navy, or heather gray, but the black shows off Mickey the best we think. It comes in sizes small to 2X. Be sure to snap a picture in Tomorrowland near The Star Trader where a neon Mickey glides across the wall as an astronaut.

Bottoms

Her Universe Disney Mickey Mouse Dark Wash Mom Jeans

To keep the Mickey Mouse theme going strong, these dark-wash mom jeans are fun. On both legs, there is a print of the famous mouse, along with Mickey’s iconic signature on one of the back pockets. The cuffed hem ensures these won’t drag on the ground or get wet from the morning dew or lingering water in the ride vehicles of Splash Mountain or Pirates of the Caribbean. While these are listed in junior sizes, they are also available in plus size

Socks

wernies No Show Socks Women Low Socks Non Slip Flat Boat Line 4/8 Pairs

Socks are one of the most important pieces of any outfit for Disneyland, even though most people won’t ever see them. A good pair of socks will keep your feet feeling good all day long, even after walking upwards of 10 miles a day. These socks come in packs of four or eight, with neutral colors for each pair. The no-show socks are nice to pair with most types of shoes, and these are made with silicone heel grips so they don’t slide down as you walk around the parks.

Shoes

Keds Women's Champion Sneaker

Keds are an American classic, and actually really good for walking around Disneyland. The Champion Sneaker comes in seven different colors, like white, black, and red. The canvas shoes do tend to stretch as you wear them throughout the day, which can make them more comfortable. The rubber sole also ensures that you aren’t going to slip and fall as you make your way to your favorite rides or walk through the shops on Main Street, U.S.A.

Backpack

Petunia Pickle Bottom x Disney Mickey Mouse Meta Diaper Backpack

This backpack is considered a diaper bag, but parents and non-parents will find that the backpack is stylish with a fun Mickey Mouse design, and plenty of pockets to stay organized throughout the day. The front of the backpack has a small zipper pouch where snacks can go, while the larger main compartment has multiple pockets for sunglasses, a cell phone, or a wallet. The backpack is also water resistant which is great in case it does rain while you’re at Disneyland, or if you get a not-so-great seat on Splash Mountain.

Accessories

Sticking with the Mickey Mouse in March theme, these are some fun additions to an outfit that will bring that little spark of Disney magic. The nice thing about both of these items is that they are subtle enough to wear every day without feeling too over the top.
